Asset and fleet finance, without the run-around
We fund the vehicles, plant, equipment and machinery that UK businesses run on. One call, one person who knows your name, and terms that usually only open up to companies far bigger than yours.

Why Holmswood
Four things that make this less painful than you expect
One call, no fuss
One point of contact from first enquiry to funds released. No call centre, no handing you round a team, no repeating yourself.
Transparent throughout
You see the rate, the term, the fees and how we get paid before you sign anything. If a deal is wrong for you, we say so.
20+ years of experience
Two decades of arranging finance for Scottish and UK businesses, and knowing which funder will say yes to which asset.
Direct manufacturer terms
Direct terms with the biggest vehicle manufacturers, so smaller operators get pricing normally reserved for major fleets.
What we fund
If it earns its keep, we can probably fund it
From a first van to a full plant fleet. New, used, dealer-supplied or direct from the manufacturer.
Vans and light commercials
Panel vans, crew cabs, pickups, tippers and dropsides — the vehicles most small businesses actually run.
HGVs, trailers and tippers
Tractor units, rigids, curtainsiders, tippers, flatbeds and trailers, new or used, from the main manufacturers.
Construction and plant
Excavators, telehandlers, dumpers, rollers, loaders and site accommodation, from a mini-digger up.
Agricultural machinery
Tractors, balers, harvesters, sprayers and handling equipment, on terms that work around a farming year.
Manufacturing and machine tools
CNC machines, presses, packaging lines, woodworking and engineering kit — new installations or additions.
Specialist and soft assets
Catering equipment, gym kit, IT and AV, refrigeration, medical and dental. If it earns, it is usually fundable.
Ways to fund it
Seven products. Usually only two will suit you.
Each one answers the same two questions differently: who owns the asset at the end, and when you pay the VAT.
Hire purchase
Fixed payments on an asset you intend to keep. Yours outright at the end.
See how it worksFinance lease
Full use of the asset with the VAT spread across the rentals rather than paid up front.
See how it worksOperating lease
Lower rentals because the funder carries the residual value. Hand it back at the end.
See how it worksFleet finance
Two vehicles or two hundred, under one facility and one renewal calendar.
See how it worksAsset refinance
Release working capital from kit you already own, and carry on using it.
See how it worksSale & leaseback
Sell an asset you own outright to a funder and lease it straight back.
See how it worksBusiness loans
Funding for the costs that have no asset attached — tax bills, fit-outs, wages.
See how it worksAll seven, side by side
Term, deposit, VAT, ownership and balance-sheet treatment on one table.
Open the comparisonHow it works
Three steps, and we do most of them
One call, and we listen
Tell us what you are buying, roughly what it costs and when you need it. Fifteen minutes on the phone, no forms to fill in first, and no obligation at the end of it.
We price it properly
We take it to the funders most likely to say yes to that asset, and where it is a vehicle, against our direct manufacturer terms. You get the rate, the term, the fees and the total cost in writing.
Paperwork, then paid out
You sign, we chase the funder, and the supplier gets paid. Most straightforward deals complete inside a week. You deal with the same person throughout.
Manufacturer terms
Buying power that is normally reserved for the big fleets
Manufacturers price on volume. A business running six vans does not get the same conversation as one running six hundred — unless someone brings the volume for them. That is what a broker with direct manufacturer terms is for.
We have spent more than twenty years building those relationships, alongside a panel of funders who each have their own appetite. Some like plant. Some like HGVs. Some will look at a used asset that others will not touch. Knowing which door to knock on is most of the job, and it is the difference between a yes this week and a no next month.
- Direct terms with the biggest vehicle manufacturers
- A funder panel, not a single lender with a single appetite
- Used and specialist assets considered, not just new stock
- Written terms before you commit — rate, term, fees, total cost

Where we work
Glasgow-based, working the length of the country
Most of our clients are Scottish, because that is where we are and that is who we have looked after for two decades. Plenty are not. Funding does not stop at the border, and neither do we — we arrange finance for businesses from Inverness to the south coast.
What you get either way is the same: a phone number that reaches a person, an answer rather than an application portal, and someone who remembers the last three deals you did without having to look them up.
Next step
Tell us what you are buying
Fifteen minutes on the phone or a two-line email is usually enough to get you indicative terms.
